Beauty does not live inside the object. Not yet.

A pearl before it is worn. A gemstone before it moves. What are they — cold, waiting, simply themselves?

Perhaps beauty needs a body to exist at all. Skin that warms. Breath that shifts the weight of a pendant. A collarbone that gives a sphere somewhere to rest.

Or perhaps the object was always already beautiful — and we only notice when it touches us.

Maybe that is what beauty is. Not inside the object. Not inside the body either. Somewhere between the two — in the moment of contact, the moment of warmth, the moment you stop thinking about it and simply feel it is there.

Jewellery begins when the object meets the skin.

All MAGATA pieces are made to order. Production is intentionally kept small and close to the practice: our solid silver designs are developed in Florence, through close collaboration with trusted local artisans, while all other pieces are conceived and assembled in our Berlin atelier. Each object spends several hours in our hands before reaching yours.

We work with carefully selected materials — including upcycled and recycled sterling silver, pearls and gemstones sourced from Germany, Spain, France, and Italy.

Our designs are not seasonal and are created to be worn for years, carried through life, and passed on. With proper care, they can accompany generations — which is why we offer a lifetime repair service, so pieces can continue their story over time. For this reason, we do not participate in end-of-season sales. The value of the materials and the work invested in each piece remains constant.

Packaging is plastic-free and designed for reuse. Jewellery is presented in FSC-certified paper boxes and shipped in fully recyclable padded mailers with compostable shipping labels, using upcycled newspaper as protective padding.
